Although dejected over the loss, the 27-year-old still held his head high for tackling the immense mental fatigue on the playoff hole and said that he will be better poised for his next playoff challenge.
Jensen said, "I was in the lead all day and after my birdie at the 12th I was maybe trying to play for par, when I should have been trying to get to 11 or 12 under. I was playing safe, and Seve snuck up behind me".
He added, "Of course I’m very disappointed, but I’m very happy with my performance today. I was a little nervous for the first couple of holes but then I got used to it".
Jensen revealed that he heard cheers from the 18th hole while he was coming up for the previous hole and thought Benson probably has pulled another level-par on it.
He had little idea that the Englishman had gone over to birdie the 18th and if he had known about it, he probably would have used the driver on instead of a three-iron.
The Dane was jubilant over his performance in Kenya and said, “I know I can get myself into position now, and one day my time will come”.
Veteran Phillip Archer also had a splendid day in the final round and carded a massive six-under, 65 to throw himself in contention for the title.
He opened up his round with three straight birdies on the four opening holes on the front.
He fell for the lone bogey of the day at par-four, 14th and finished for a strong joint third along with South African Tyrone Ferreira.
The Warrington native has been part of the European Tour and Challenge Tour fields for a considerable time and is best known for a low of 60 at the Celtic Wales Open in the year 2006.
He missed the accolade of being the first player on the European Tour to shoot 59 when he missed the 18th the same day.
He posted his strongest finish on the European Tour in 2007 when he surged to 29th on the European Tour Order of Merit.
