Seventeen Seventy set to stand first in Ibuleve Handicap
Straight from his outstanding success at Bath, the Alan Coogan trained bay gelding, Seventeen Seventy, is going to unleash winning performance at Yarmouth racecourse in a bid to clinch the ace title of the Ibuleve Handicap that will be held on Tuesday, July
17. The Class 5 contest is set to start at 7:20 (GMT).
The three-year-old veteran horse is well-familiar with the soft grounds as he ran two consecutive races over there during the last month. Thus, it is expected that he will take no time to adjust to the Yarmouth track of 5 furlongs and 43 yards. On winning,
he will be awarded £2,264.
Since the very beginning of the calendar year, the talented son of Byron out of Rolexa has been demonstrating impressive performances.
After getting a runner-up rank in the C-Elect Associates Building Maintenance Services Handicap over 6 furlongs at Folkestone on May 30, the Leydens Farm Stud-bred gelding accomplished a grand victory in the Become An Annual Member At Chepstow Handicap at
Chepstow on June 4, triggering an upset while being a non-favourite runner.
The 11-race experienced sprinter stepped forward to grab another runner-up position on June 18. He stunned his fans and the punters alike by winning Betvictor For Euro 2012 Handicap at Bath on June 27. The most important thing was the winner’s ability to
defeat the hot favourite candidate One Last Dream.
In the light of these stats, it is expected that Seventeen Seventy will be able to make a big impact in today’s event, having up to 90 percent chances to finish first.
However, he will have to face reasonable resistance from One Kool Dude who marvellously finished second against 13 rivals in his last outing entitled as Norfolk Chamber Of Commerce Handicap. That race was held at Yarmouth on July 5.
In his second last start as well, the Michael Bell trained chestnut gelding gained a runner-up position while fighting against 9 strong competitors.
It will be hard for the 17-race experienced horse to win but he can give enough tough time to Seventeen Seventy. Thus, the event will have plenty of thrill and excitement. Good luck to both the geldings.
