Is it true that were close to the Sun when it's summer, and were far from the orbit and it's winter, oh and does the Sun has it's own orbit, why or why not? Oh and as Global Warming begins are we getting closer to the Sun?

  1. 1.  No we're actually just a bit farther from the Sun when it's summer in the Northern Hemisphere.  The changing seasons are cause by the Earth being tilted with regard to the Sun.  That makes the Sun shine at a high angle during summer, and a low one in winter.  That's a big deal, and swamps out the tiny change in distance.

    2.  The Sun oscillates just slightly.  But because it weighs way more than the Earth, it's orbit is tiny compared to the Earth.

    3.  Global warming is due to CO2 holding more of the Sun's heat in, not because the Earth is getting more heat from the Sun.  Scientists know this because they measure the heat received from the Sun.  Here's a scientific article about that:

climate forcings and the global mean surface

air temperature", Lockwood and Frolich (2007), Proc. R. Soc. A
