Several teams interested in former Cleveland Indians’ centre-fielder Grady Sizemore – MLB News

Former Cleveland Indians’ centre-fielder Grady Sizemore is attracting a lot of interest as he is currently a free agent and looking for a team interested in his talents.
Grady Sizemore, whose options were not exercised last month, is certainly a potential player and now feeling his value as a Major League player having seven years of professional experience and regarded amongst some of the talented sluggers.
It has been reported that he is pretty much in business and probably will make a huge amount of money if his ongoing talks are successful with several MLB teams. Some seven to eight teams are making plans to sign Sizemore and are in talks with him while
his agent Joe Urbon, who will play a major role in his next contract, has said earlier, “He’s open to anything; He’s not limiting his choices at all. He wants to have an opportunity that will allow him to show he’s still the elite player he’s been, in a perfect
world, he’d love to play centre field. You can’t ignore the fact that’s where he won two Gold Gloves, where he’s been a three-time all star.”
Since the Indians did not exercise options on Sizemore’s future, agent Urbon started commenting that his client Sizemore is open to play for any potential team in the league and looking forward to their offers. Later, when the New York Yankees, Boston Red
Sox, Chicago Cubs and Philadelphia Phillies showed their interest in Sizemore, Urbon again came-up with a different thought and started commenting in the media as the Indians want him back and this time he might get a contract that will insure his stay in
the Indians’ roster is for nothing less than three or four years.
This was still a speculation for many but when the Indians’ General Manager Chris Antonetti spoke in the media just a day ago in Milwaukee where he came to attend the annual GM meeting, his comments meditated on certain logic. He said, “Nothing has changed,
we still remain interested in keeping Grady an Indian.”
However, it will be interesting to see where Sizemore is heading in the future as currently all the teams including the Indians are observing closely as to how much they can spend on this dynamic free agent.
