An article was posted in newsday.com by a John Valenti telling the readers, in the heading of the article, that a severe thunderstorm warning had been issued. The article then went on to say there was a hazardous weather outlook. As a reader, seeing "SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING ISSUED" as a heading to an article means "TAKE ACTION" - Upon reading the article NO specifics were given as to what county was under the warning, what the details of the storm were, or when the warning was to expire. I wrote him an email regarding this and he said it had been issued for TONIGHT at 6:45 THIS MORNING. I have NEVER heard of a severe thunderstorm warning being issued more than an hour an advance, let along like 10-12 hours (a severe thunderstorm watch, yes, but a WARNING??????). He then told me I should take up my complaint with the NOAA since there was ones who had, on their site, issued this ridiculous warning....How do I research PAST weather warnings that might have expired by now?
