ok so about two weeks ago my left breast itched, my nipple and around it itched so bad but if i tried to scratch it hurt horrible, and pressing on it or my breast period it hurt and sent shooting pains through out my entire breast even deep down .for two weeks its been intense pain when touched at all and i looked at it yesterday and where my areola and nipple were swollen had a brown spot so i kinda squeezed lightly and puss flew out and tons and tons of blood today its stll hurting deep down but i have no idea what this is. im 21 i asked my mother and she said it could be from a clogged milk duct *sp* or that maybe i hit it and caused it to swell and block off something and it caused infection she also said i need to get it checked out because hers did that when she was around 25 and they thought it was an early indication of breast canceer, they did many tests on her to make sure.. she said it would be best to check to make sure and to defnately not let it go..... does anyone know what this could be or is it something i should be worried about?

  1. Your breast is swollen, pus and blood are coming out of your nipple, you are in dire pain and what do you do?  You get on Yahoo Answers and ask people what to do.  For God's sake, go see a doctor!  I don't mean to be rude but this could be serious.  You need to see a d-o-c-t-o-r!

  2. listen to your mom.

she knows more than we do.

    go to your doctor NOW

  3. You need to make an appointment with your gyno next week!

  4. Based on the info below you should see your doctor as soon as you can.

Common symptoms include breast pain, lumps, and a discharge from the nipple. Breast symptoms do not necessarily mean that a woman has breast cancer or another serious disorder. However, if a woman has any of the following symptoms, she should see her doctor:

a lump that feels distinctly different from other breast tissue or that does not go away

swelling that does not go away

puckering or dimpling in the skin of the breast

    scaly skin around the nipple

changes in the shape of the breast

changes in the nipple, such as turning inward

discharge from the nipple, especially if it is bloody

  5. You have an infection and it needs to be treated with antibiotics and possible surgical intervention.
