i've had trouble with my colon.

but i keep getting these reallly severe pains,

i've noticed when i eat dairy enriched products, this tends to "flair" the pains. But i'm not 100% sure this is in correlation, and not just a co-incidence.

SOMETIMES, it hurts to inhale. (this is rarely happens but..?)

What could it be? =/

thanks for all your answers =]

  1. GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!! Could be anything...you need to be diagnosed quickly in case you should already be having treatment...so don't guess. I once had awful pains..but it turned out to be colic brought on by stress...but could have been worse. So make an appointment tomorrow morning. Good luck.

  2. go to your doctor!

  3. My sister has colon arthritis and when she drinks milk she gets bad stomach aches for days. Sometimes, she gets gas that causes it to hurt to bend in a weird way or breathe. Last year, when I was at school, I breathed heavily and had this sharp pain behind the bottom part of my rib cage on the left side. The school nurse says it was gas that must have been giving pressure against my lungs. I visited a doctor and was told that it wasn't a problem but there really wasn't anything that could stop the pain. So, what you have is probably the same thing : ( but the good news is that its nothing serious- i obviously don't have colon arthritis. But what I have noticed is that ever since I stopped eating so much junk food, the pain has become less frequent. I might get it once in a while after I eat but its not as bad.

    Good luck!

  4. Sounds like endometriosis. My wife has it and she has similar symptoms. Go to a doctor immediately! If you wait a couple years you may have to have an ovary or 2 removed.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endometrios...

    A major symptom of endometriosis is severe recurring pain. The amount of pain a woman feels is not necessarily related to the extent or stage (1 through 4) of endometriosis. Some women will have little or no pain despite having extensive endometriosis affecting large areas or having endometriosis with scarring. On the other hand, women may have severe pain even though they have only a few small areas of endometriosis.

    Symptoms of endometriosis can include (but are not limited to):

        * dysmenorrhea - Painful, sometimes disabling menstrual cramps; pain may get worse over time (progressive pain)

        * Chronic pelvic pain - typically accompanied by lower back pain and/or abdominal pain.

        * dyspareunia - Painful s*x

        * dyschezia - Painful bowel movements

        * Nausea, vomiting, and/or diarrhea

        * dysuria - Urinary urgency, frequency, and sometimes painful voiding

        * Infertility and subfertility. Endometriosis may lead to fallopian tube obstruction. Even without this, there may be difficulty conceiving. In some women, subfertility is the sole symptom, and the endometriosis is only discovered after fertility investigations.

        * frequent menses flow or short menstrual cycle.

        * Some women may also suffer mood swings and fatigue.

    In addition, women who are diagnosed with endometriosis may have gastrointestinal symptoms that may mimic irritable bowel syndrome.
