Severe stabbing pain over right hip feels achy unable to walk or stand for long?

I suddenly got a pain in my right hip last night and it was so severe it made me gasp out loud ive never had this pain before and cant think what it could be as i wasn't moving when i got the pain. It feels achy also on my right leg at the top where it joins my hip/ovaries area. It is very uncomfortable and cannot hardly walk or stand for long as it comes back and seems to not be as bad after a sleep. Ive never experienced this pain before and I'm so worried about what it is. Does anyone know what it could be? i tried an online symptom checker but it didn't really help as i haven't done anything to cause the pain. It is a very sharp stabbing pain and is worrying me and is almost reducing me to tears when i get it. It keeps coming and going but it is a constant aching and i can feel when the stabbing pain is about to come. Can anyone suggest anything to what it might be?

You may be experiencing an ovarian cysts, I would advise going to your doctor or scheduling an ultrasound
