i have had these pains before...i remember having the some when i was younger...and for about the last year i have been getting them again. After eating foods normally fried or greasy food about 5 or 10 minutes later i will get severe stomach pains in my upper abdomen and sometimes it is severe enough to cause me to double over in pain. i went to the doctor and he said it was iritable bowel syndrome because i would usually get diareah and the pain would sometime go away or at least for a little while but i have still been getting the pains and i am starting to get a little worried. what do you think it could be i have been woundering about my gall bladder but i dont know. what do you think?

  1. I think you have take precaution about your intake of food and liquids. Take proper diet. It should be regular, nutritious and balanced. Fill only half the stomach with solid food, one quarter of your stomach, you can fill with liquids like, milk, fruit juice, yogurt, etc.

Explain your problems in detail while consulting a doctor.

Take some digestive tablets if you have readily.

Take hot water one glass after meals.

  2. I had that pain one time and it threw me into surgery removing my gall bladder.  My pain was also felt like dead middle of my back which felt odd.  You could be passing a stone.  My friend also has the same thing but has started to take a fat blocker with extremely greasy meals to pass the grease faster than your stomach processing them and it has helped some.  The answer in the end is to reduce to oily food intake to stop the pains.  Good luck!

  3. Hi,

Fried or greasy foods is the clue. I'd guess it is your gall bladder as well, and it should be checked out. I doublt that it is Irritable Bowel syndrome (IBS) because that would have more consistent symptoms. You have have gall stones, or you may just have cholic in the bile duct. In any case, it should be ruled out. You don't say how old you are, which could make a difference in the diagnosis. There is a chance that you have an ulcer or gastritis, which is an inflammation of the stomach. Are you an anxious person, or under a lot of stress?
