Severn Bolt takes the lime light of the Coral On TV Maidens Trophy – Heat 3

The final heat of the Coral On TV Maidens Trophy, the third heat, will be held on Monday, 27th August at Romford over 400 metres flat. Ready to take up the £150 prize money challenge are Pennys Peewee, Lynton Beauty, Severn Bolt, Kay Gee Bee,
Blackstone Tommy and Hi Way.
The entry with the brightest chances of winning is the two-year-old, Severn Bolt. He joined the racing career in June, 2012 and since then has raced twice at Wimbledon otherwise he has stayed active at Romford. He has not been trained ever since he started
racing and now just might be the time for trainer, Paul Young, to seriously consider it.
The career debut of the two-year-old ended in a second position but he did not wait for long to roll up his sleeves and win the next two races that came his way.
On 4th July, 2012, Droopys Kewell’s son bagged the 400 metres race at Romford. Racing away quickly, switching from the rails to the middle and then not giving up the lead got him the race in 24.72 seconds. Losing the race just by the neck’s margin
was, Quarterland Clas.
The black hound out of, Stay With Me, then captured the 480 metres race at Wimbledon on 11th July, 2012. He raced from the middle after breaking out of the third trap and then ran on until he got to the wire in 29.59 seconds. Settling as the runner-up
after staying adrift b y 1 ¼ lengths was, Droopys Chief.
The young hound displayed his potential by winning not only at two different race courses but over two different distances too. However, posting a hat-trick did not prove as easy because on 12th June, 2012 at Romford over 400 metres, the two-year-old
could only manage the second position after missing the success by half a length.
Third and until yet the final victory posting of the dark hound was in the 400 metres race at Romford on 22nd August, 2012. Swiftness right after breaking and then speeding from the middle had the race settled in 24.10 seconds. Finishing the closest
to the winner was, Moody Blonde.
