The former Real Madrid player will replace http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marcelino-c23540 Garcia Toral and will lead Los Rojiblancos until the end of the season.
President Jose Maria del Nido and Sporting Director, Monchi, met to assess Marcelino Garcia Toral’s position as Sevilla head coach, and the 46-year-old was shown the door soon after.
The club, on their website, thanked the ousted Marcelino for his professionalism and dedication.
The website also explained how the board members regret taking the drastic step but deemed it necessary following team’s recent results on the pitch.
Shortly afterwards, it was announced that the club have completed the appointment of Jose http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Miguel-Gonzalez-c25557, famously known as ‘Michel’, as the head coach until the end of the current season.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michel-c25453 is given a contract until June 30th but he will have his contract renewed automatically if Sevilla finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League.
If Sevilla fail to achieve their targets, the club’s hierarchy will reassess the progress made under his reign and take a decision on his future.

Michel will be presented to media representatives and the fans on Wednesday, February 8th, and will direct Sevilla’s training sessions from 17.30.
The former Spanish international joins the Andalusian club after refusing contract offers by La Liga sides Real Zaragoza and Sporting Gijon earlier this season. Michel was last seen at the bench of Getafe, leading them to Copa del Rey semi-finals and sixth
place in La Liga - Los Azulones best finish in the Primera Division.
