Question:

Sewer leaking through concrete foundation...?

I was at my in-laws today and as their dishwasher was draining, water began to come up through their tile in the middle of the house. The dishwasher drains on the far end of the house from where the sewer line leaves the house. The area of the house where the water was coming up is not level. My take was that there was some foundation shifting which led to the sewer line bending and cracking. Does anyone have any other ideas on what else it could be? Also, if I'm right, any idea what it would cost to fix?
