Sewing. How do get my ends to stay together when i come to a ending pointand raise the sewing foot

How do get my ends to stay together when i come to a ending pointand raise the sewing foot to cut the thread?Yes i am a man trying to sew. actually i am in the starting pointof my lingerie lines... I sketch just about every thing.and why notput it to use on womens s**y lingerie. Who knows i mightmake it big some day..........Hope some one can help with my starting point......making the ends stay together...... Thank you Troy
