I'm referring to the kind of buttonholes on very expensive suit jackets. Hope this helps.

  3. If your button has 2 holes in it, put the needle up from the cloth into the first hole. Then simple cross over to the second hole and put the need through. Do this again. When you go down from the second hole for the second time, secure the button by sewing some cloth beneath the button.
