  1. I would choose the first one as the top seems simplier to sew and dress A.

  2. I think the Vogue one will be the easiest, as there's no boning involved.

Remember tobuy your pattern according to your measurements, not your Ready To Wear dress size...

COPY the pattern onto Dot & Cross or similar paper and do any alterations you need to the copy rather than cutting the original pattern: that way you always have the complete patternt o refer to should you need it.  Try making it up in something cheap and cheerful berore tackling the posh fabric.

  3. the first one looks beautiful,

you may find it easier to first make all three in a smaller size(Barbie size) and see which one you think will be easier to make full size

  4. 5580

  5. If you haven't sewn in a while, I think you should start with something much simpler. Try an Easy to Sew pattern.

The first one is going to be difficult to fit right. And the second one has a lot of pieces.

  6. I really do like the green pattern and the second one in the pink.

I think you may well do OK with those as the one pattern may possibly do both dresses from the 1 pattern seeing they almost are the same style.

Oh and study the pattern instruction well before you get going

Good luck and have faith in yourself

  7. the secone one would be the easiest. i think.

  8. i'd say the easiest is the second one.

but the first one (green dress)  is definately the cutest!

  9. Both will require boning in order to make the bodice properly and for it to stand up on it's own. The first will require exact fit in order for it to look best. The second will give you more room for adjustments. Both will probably require lining in order for the boning to be less visible. And either dress will look wonderful made up.

You may want to consider how you will look in the final garment...the first will accentuate your shoulders and draw attention to the bust area...the second will make your shoulders appear narrower (if you use the straps over the shoulders) and, while drawing attention to the bust area, the band across the center of the bust area will make that section appear broader.

The first one is less full in the skirt area, which will make the area below the waist appear smaller. The second one is fuller and will make the area below the waist appear a little larger. Both appear to require the same amount of sewing skill, but the second one will require a little more detailed construction.

Personally, I like the first one the best. If you have nice shoulders, it's the one to go with. The lines are clean and fresh.

  10. they're both pretty difficult but i'd say the one from the 2nd site...
