I just found out tonight, that I am pregnant. I'm only about 3.5 weeks along. My husband and I are going on a romantic trip tomorrow and my question is: is it okay to have s*x? I have suffered one miscarriage already and I don't want to go through it again. Is s*x okay during very early pregnancy?

  1. s*x is ok all throughout pregnancy - in fact, s*x is one of the ways to naturally induce labor when you are to that point.  Please talk to your OB-GYN to dispel these myths you have about pregnancy.

  2. Sorry about the miscarriage. Unfortunately they are life's mystery, if it is going to happen then it will with or without s*x. BUT talk to your doctor and make sure you are not at a high risk for anything!

  3. s*x is ok through all of it.  just enjoy and be gentle and loving with eachother.  for gawds sake, have s*x while you still can!!!!

  4. don't be too rough but you should be fine, have you seen your doctor yet if your high risk he might say no.

  5. s*x is okay, if you want to do it. It wont harm the baby in any way. Things that can cause miscarriage are drinking large amounts of caffeine, smoking, drinking. Many websites can give you advice on this, webmd is a good place to start. also parents.com is very informative. And congratulations

  6. I believe it will be okay. Just ask your husband to not be rough.

  7. yeah its fine ive read thats its safe throughout pregnancy as long as your healthy and baby is well.

  8. It is actually recommend to have s*x during pregnancy, especially near the end of pregnancy.  So, yes, it's okay.  You will find that having lots of s*x in the weeks prior to birth will help the birthing process a lot.

I recommend getting a midwife. I had two kids with the assistance of midwives... awesome experience.  Totally natural births in the comfort of the home.  The best way.

  9. It's fine to have s*x but don't go too hard so to speak. If you've already had one miscarriage then it's safer to just be a little more careful.

I had 2 miscarriages after I had my daughter (with whom I had no problem with) and am now 12 weeks pregnant again and got advised by my doctor to either avoid s*x in the first few months or to be real careful etc if we do have s*x.

Most women have one miscarriage at one time or another so you should be fine with this one, but it's always better to be a little cautious.

The baby is really well protected in there but excessive 'bumping' in that area can contribute to dislodging the baby if it hasn't implanted in far enough yet.

    You should be fine though

  10. you're good through the first trimester

  11. it's fine. your baby is very well protected.

  12. it sure is ok! Enjoy and have a great trip! s*x will not cause a miscarriage!
