s*x every day?

Question

Does having s*x every day while ttc really make it harder? I've never heard someone say 'i don't want to get pg so i'm going to have s*x every single day, with no bc'...?

We reeeeally don't want to have to do it every other day! Opinions please?

Every day can lower your partner's sperm count.  It general takes a day or so for it to build back up.  So although you can still get pregnant, if you have more swimmers you increase the chance of them reaching your egg.

It really does take longer.  I know someone that tries every day and its taking them longer than 6 months (and they have been pregnant before, so she can be pregnant.)  While my husband and I tried once a week and every three days around the ovulation time and got pregnant the first month.  

It decreases the # of sperm that can actually do the job on the right day.

Another thing to think about is if you two are still into s*x every single day, maybe you want some more alone time just for you two anyways.  After you're pregnant it's 18 years of no alone time.

It is possible to get pregnant having s*x every day, but the man's sperm can replenish with a stronger sperm count by having intercourse every other day. If you have been trying with no luck for several months then back off some and see how that goes for one cycle.

My partner and I have been doing it everyday and I still got pregnant.
