s*x & labor triggers?

So by having s*x its suppose to soften up the cervix, & bring on labor, Right?

Well bye s*x do they mean that you & your partner has to both have an o****m to trigger this off or can the women just play with herself & have an o****m & that will do it, or do they mean that it would help if partners p***s is injected to help the cervix?

Just a lil confused, sorry I know this is probably a Dumb Question!

& the reason why I ask this is bc im 40 1/2 weeks, well for about a month 1/2 now Me & husband havent had s*x together, (except for Sund. night we did it for 1st time but it didn't do anything bc I didn't have an o****m, I just let him get his) ( I seriously don't have any potential into doing it & he doesn't like the discharge so) but I have used (TMI) vibrator for my self to try to get some kind of contractions going, lol! Don't know if this works.

Help me out here ladies! This is 1st pregnancy for me! & I really want to see my baby!

Thanks so much!

  1. You need to have o****m to trigger labor and some chemicals from males discharge also help to trigger labor.

We have tried everything nothing worked and was induced in JULY. Now have month old baby.

My first one - 8 year old - was also induced.

  2. It's not the actual intercourse that triggers labor, it's the man's sperm so unless he orgasms inside you then it's not going to work.

  3. the biggest part of this working is the sperm getting in contact with the cervix. There is a special hormone in the sperm that helps to soften the cervix. o****m is good for you becuase its helps to tone the uterus but it won't help to bring on labour.

    Good luck!

  4. s*x does not bring on labor it is a myth the book preganncy for dummies talks about that there is no evidence to back this up but practicing is always fun so if you feel into it give it a try

  5. I was always told that after you have s*x, make sure that you stay laid down for about 10 min. to make sure it like soaks into your cervix.

  6. If you o****m, it can trigger small contractions of your uterus. If your husband orgasms, his s***n helps to soften the cervix.

With my daughter, the night before I went into labor, we had s*x, and both climaxed. The following morning, I did it myself. I then went for a walk, and then expressed a small amount of breast milk. By 10am I was in early labour, and by 2pm I was in active labour.

Good luck, I hope this has helped. You aren't far away. I wish you all the bast for your labor and delivery.

  7. I don't really know of any labor triggers that actually work. There are a lot of old wives tales about them but I've been told by a lot of people that they don't work. Talk to your doctor about getting induced. Thats what I had to do.

  8. Orgasms are supposed to trigger contraction and s***n soften the cervix so I would say yes you need to have s*x with your husband.

But no matter what you try to do to jump start labor, it won't happen unless your body is ready.

    Good luck though and congratulations!!
