The Himalayas glaciers are all rapidly melting and 1.5 Billion in Central Asia are at risk first from rushing waters and then for lack of water to drink. Do you hear the plane overhead? It is not bringing help to the region. We need to see floating bodies before we do anything. You see, we want real proof of Global Warming, not theories.

  2. I missed the question, but you sound like just the one to explain Gore's melting glacier claims.

    Please do the following experiment

    1) Get a drinking glass of convenient size from the kitchen.

    2) Flill it with an appropriate number of ice cubes from the freezer.

    3) Drink immediately

    ???

This demonstrates the usefulness of glaciers as drinking water.  It is snowMELT that provides drinking water from mountain sources.  No melt; no water. No water; no drink.  Though I am unfamiliar with "drinking" a glacier while it remains FROZEN, it seems that you must understand it well.

The "rushing water" conveys the desired emotional image, but in general lacks scientific basis.  The usual claim is that it is a tiny bit warmer every year and the glacier shrinks a bit each year until it is gone.  There have ALWAYS been springtime floods in the mountains of the world.  To claim that they are now caused by global warming is damning evidence of deceptive intent.

You lost me on the airplane, though.  What horrific image and related emotional response were you trying to convey?

  3. Wow!

    1.5 billion people gona drown?

They should do something now like get out of the flood channel that they are in!

Then they could build reservoirs to capture the runoff water so they could have something to drink!

    Can you tell them? Hurry!

Not sure about the Seychelles, we'll just have to wait 'n see.
