The Ivorian striker expressed desire to win the Russian Premier League title under Leonid Slutsky and explained why he preferred to join the Moscow-based club.

In the aftermath of the win, the Ivorian striker expressed his delight over the latest league win and assured the fans of similar performances in the remaining matches of the ongoing league campaign.
With the win, CSKA have retained the second spot on the league table. However, they are still 6 points behind the table-toppers, Zenit St. Petersburg.
"Winning the derby is always very nice. I have been waiting for the game against Spartak. I think I did well in front of our fans. To collect all three points against your rivals is always important.” The Russian Cup winner was
quoted as saying.
Doumbia went on to thank the fans for supporting their team and admitted that the atmosphere at the stadium was fabulous. He added that the win has given the Armeytsy a confidence boost and changed the mood of the entire team.
Speaking on his performance, the 24-year-old striker revealed that he is not satisfied with his performance despite scoring a goal and providing an assist. Doumbia revealed that he would have scored 2 more goals had he taken all
his chances against the Myaso.
“The most important thing for me is to help the Koni win the domestic championship. I don’t think personal stats are more important than winning trophies. We still have a chance to win the league. I am sure that Zenit will lose
points and we will try to win the remaining matches. The situation in the standings could still change.” Doumbia said.
Doumbia, who joined the Moscow-based club back in 2008, revealed that he had other offers on the table before signing a contract at Arena Khimki. The former Young boys forward revealed that he rejected a better financial package
from Rubin Kazan before making his move to Moscow.
