Shaban Black’s recent successes have made him a race favourite in the Grade IR Bags/Sis Easter Bunny Standard Heat 2 which is scheduled to take place on 20th
March, 2012 at Perry Barr.
He will be racing with the odds of 6 to 4 over 480 metres for £200 against Barracuda Frank, Cooneen Fantasy, Curryhills Aido, Movealong Joker and Admiral Vasa.
The son of Hondo Black, out of Bansha Gill, has been living up to expectations off late, with his steady and stellar finishes in the top 3.
Despite being race favourite, he finished as a runner-up in the Grade A1 480m flat race at Perry Barr on 24th February, 2012, where he was defeated by, Nellys Court, by 2 ¼ lengths. Nellys Court finished in 28.63 seconds, where
as Shaban Black finished in 28.81 seconds.
He finished third in the Grade OR The Lovethedogs.co.uk Maiden at Perry Barr on 2nd March, 2012. He fell a little short at that time, but it was still a commendable effort in the end.
His performance after that really made his trainer G. Kovac proud, as he managed to bag a victory. The victory is the basis for all the attention from the bookmakers in this race.
Shaban Black regained his glory in the Grade A1 480m flat race at Perry Barr on 9th March, 2012. He did justice to his status as race favourite, as he defeated, Amazing Customer, by 2 ¾ lengths in 28.47 seconds.
Trained by S. Aveline, Movealong Joker looks tough to beat in this race. He was raced on this track since his career started on 31st October, 2011.
The son of Droopys Kewell, out of Movealong Alice acquired a fifth place finish in the Grade A1 480m flat race at Perry Barr on 13th March, 2012. He finished in 29.24 seconds, whereas the winner Farley Denny finished in 28.76
seconds.
He secured third place in the Grade A1 480m flat race at Perry Barr on 17th
March, 2012. His finishing time was 29.01 seconds whereas, Barracuda Flicka, finished first in 28.89 seconds.
His prospects of winning this race are looking bright as he has been improving and his winning odds have been calculated to 4 to 1.
Cooneen Fantasy, son of Premier Fantasy, out of Cooneen Star looks like a promising contender in this race. The G. Hodson trained hound will be running for a hat-trick in this race.
Cooneen Fantasy was successful on 9th March, 2012 at Perry Barr where he defeated Definate Impact, by a narrow distance of a neck over a course of 275 metres in 16.49 seconds.
He defeated, Sawpit Sydney, in the Grade A2 480m flat race at the same venue on 13th March, 2012 by 1¾ lengths in 28.81 seconds.
The bettors expect Shaban Black to take this race. They predict that Movealong Joker will finish in second but Cooneen Fantasy could be challenging and hard to beat.
