  1. Honestly you shouldnt be doing any of that until you get real training. You are just reinforcing bad habits.

I suggest signing up for a boxing gym and take lessons.

  2. I see you are keeping your chin down fairly well and standing tall to make better use of your height and reach advantage since you are a fairly big guy.  Yes, definitely work on your foot work as you are to stationary and to easy to hit as well as not generating the power in your punches as much because your punches are only arm punches.  At one point you almost fall forward off balance over your toes because your balance, body and height gets out to far over your toes and you have to catch yourself.  Better footwork will keep this from happening and also get you moving more and add momentum behind those punches and jabs so that they are just not arm punches.  If you do a search in my answers you will find how to move your feet when throwing a jab for instance and this will triple the power and increase the speed of yours as well as give you an angle to work with if you choose to.  I would also bend and flex my knees a little more and that will aid in this.

In the third part you do move a little better but still you are to much in the same spot.  Along with this I would also work on fighting and going backwards at the same time as that is one of the ways you can sometimes beat a big guy like yourself.  As they go back some people don't fight as well as when going forward; their chin comes up and hands drop or seperate and give you more in the way of openings and angles for you to attack while going forward.  They also have less power and it makes it a little harder for them to just stand there and captialize on their reach and target practice using your head and face for a target if you are the shorter fighter.

The other thing I would do is work on developing a good hook.  Those straight punches and combinations make your opponet move his hands and arms forward slightly out in front of his face and head thus opening up the sides for you to hit with a good hook.  Defense will come with time and sparring and here again position, angles and your ability to move, turn, pivot, lean slightly (but not be off balance) and change the level of your head or position of it will all be enhanced with better footwork as well as giving you more power in your punches.

  3. You're punching is very good. You have nice speed, you look like you've got power and your form is above average. Elbows down, hands up, and chin down. Join boxing you'll do great!

  4. Ok. At the momment you could do with improving, but you have taken no lessons and for someone in your position, your technique is ok. As mentioned above, go to a gym, practise, slow at first, then add speed and power over time. keep motivated and you will do well.
