Shah Rukh Khan banned from entering Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, but BCCI may intervene –Cricket News Update
The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has banned the Kolkata Knight Riders’ co-owner Shah Rukh Khan from entering the Wankhede Stadium for five years.
"The MCA managing committee is forced to ban Shah Rukh Khan from entering Wankhede Stadium for a period of five years," Vilasrao Deshmukh, the MCA president.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman Rajiv Shukla however, said that the decision made by MCA managing committee is not final as only The Board of Control for Cricket in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 (BCCI) has the ultimate power of approving and implementing the decision taken
by any state body.

"State bodies can only recommend but a final decision has to be taken by the BCCI. When the matter comes to BCCI, the Board will decide (on the ban)," he told reporters in New http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Delhi-c780.
The decision of MCA came after an altercation between the Bollywood superstar and security personnel of the stadium, who stopped Khan from walking on the field following his team’s crucial victory against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 Indians on May 16.
MCA President, Vilasrao http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Deshmukh-c53820, claimed that the decision was taken on a unanimous front, and further applies to anyone breaking the rules of the stadium – irrespective of his star stature. He also added that stringent steps have been taken in order to
ensure the protection and dignity of the association.
"If rules are violated, action will be taken. It does not depend who the individual is,” said Deshmukh.

"I was not drunk, I had gone to pick up my children. The officials were extremely aggressive. I just got angry and said a few things in anger. I was one and they were 20-25 officials and they were extremely rude, “said Khan.
The MCA officials however, have lodged a complaint against the 46-year-old actor in the Marine Drive police station and have also demanded an apology prior to imposing the ban. The star however, refused has to apologize and insisted that he has not done
anything wrong.
