Although both explosive cricketers received various offers, the duo preferred to join Johannesburg-based side for the Twenty20 championship, scheduled next year.
Since both players have displayed a number of great performances at both domestic and International level, Petersen believes that the addition of Afridi and Razzaq will help the side strengthen
its bowling and batting department.
"It's very exciting. Razzaq bowls well at the death and up front, and is also a fine hitter of the long ball. Afridi's performances in limited-overs cricket speak for themselves. They're both
superb all-rounders who can make the team as bowlers or batsmen,” said Petersen.
The two Pakistan players have many International records to their credit. In the recently-concluded English domestic Twenty20 championship, Friends Life T20, Afridi and Razzaq performed outstandingly

Razzaq collected 263 runs and claimed 18 wickets in the tournament, whereas, the former Pakistan skipper emerged as the highest wicket taker for his County with 17 scalps in only 10 matches.
In the previous Pro20 series, the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lions-c808 failed to do anything special and finished the battle at the fifth position in the points table with only one victory in five matches.
Yet, the skipper is hopeful that the troop will come up with an improved show in the next tournament after the inclusion of the two great cricketers.
He further revealed that capturing two excellent competitors was not a quick development, as it took the franchise many weeks to negotiate and finalise a contract with both of them.
