Shahid Afridi eager to play in the ODI series against Ireland
The limited overs captain of Pakistan, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shahid-Afridi-c2482, has said he is available for the two One Day Internationals against Ireland to be played later this month.
Afridi's statement has come at a time when the Pakistan Cricket Board has issued him a show cause notice for his comments against the team management on his return from the Caribbean after winning the one-day series against West Indies.
The 31-year-old hard hitting batsman also turned down reports that he was at logger heads with the head coach, Waqar Younis over selection of team during West Indies tour.

The flamboyant Afridi will be in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013, playing for Hampshire County Cricket Club when Pakistan will tour Ireland for the two-match series. Afridi said that he was eager to be part of the side to play against Ireland.
Afridi, an aggressive batsman and a sensational right-arm leg spinner, has been signed by the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Imran-c64193 Tahir as the overseas player.
Afridi told the media reporters that he has submitted a reply to PCB’s notice in which he has clarified that he did not intend to target a specific person. He added that it would be up to the board to decide on his fate for the Ireland series.
"In my reply I cleared that I had no intentions to target any individual or violate the code of conduct," said Afridi while talking to the media reporters in Karachi.
"I've tried to convince the PCB that it was a general comment which I often give in the interest of the team. I'd be happy to play but it's up to the board to decide on my selection," he added further.
The board, however, has not yet reached a decision over Afridi’s inclusion in the national team for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ireland-c751 tour. A PCB official said that they are still awaiting team manager, Intikhab Alam’s report on the Caribbean tour to make a decision on the matter.
