(UAE).
The veteran was out of international cricket after his rift with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and former coach http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Waqar-Younis-Maitla-c96193.
The latter resigned from his duty after the Zimbabwean tour and the chairman of board Ijaz Butt’s tenure also came to an end in October this year.
This allowed Afridi to come out of his conditional retirement and represent his national side at the international level once again.
Afridi had held talks with the new PCB chairman Zaka http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 and the outcome was extremely positive.
The star player has now decided to focus only on giving his best onto the cricket field. He stated, “It's time to play cricket and I don't want to involve myself in any other thing than cricket. I am very confident. There is a lot of expectation for me back
home from the fans but I am very confident.”
The 31-year-old further added that it was a terrific feeling, making a comeback to the national side after missing out on a couple of tours.
He said, “It feels great because I've come back after a long time and I think a lot of people are expecting me to perform. I definitely missed the Pakistan team, it's my first priority and after I missed two tours I am back and will hopefully do well. It
was a tough situation but the media and the people really supported me.”
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 cricket has gone through a tough time in the past couple of years, but things are finally getting back to normal. The team has been doing well in the recent past and Afridi’s inclusion will boost the morale of the entire dressing room.
The flamboyant all-rounder adds great value to the limited-over squad, as he is an aggressive cricketer and one of the best fielders in the side. He will be eager to make an impression straight away against the Lankan http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lions-c808 in the first ODI of the series
