Talking to the media today, Afridi revealed that he had a lot of pressure when he returned to action in UAE after a long gap, but he kept his head high by demonstrating a solid attitude on the field.
He said, “There was a lot of pressure on me to perform but I was very confident. Performing after a long period of crisis is very important for me as an individual. But more importantly, I am happy with the performance because it helped Pakistan win both
series.”
The all-rounder also claimed that he did not bother about rankings and stats at all, but just focused on delivering his hundred percent. He also reiterated to improve his batting which had always been a matter of concern for his fans and the team management.
“I have never concentrated on rankings. I am satisfied with my performance the way it is. I’m more keen to improve my batting,” stated Shahid.
