Butt, while giving an exclusive interview to a Pakistani News channel, insisted that media had been demonising him and the cricket board for all the wrong reasons regarding the Afridi debacle. He insisted that the players need to show some discipline and
he was not willing to put up with any player who lacked in following rules and regulations of the PCB.

Afridi, who landed in trouble after criticising the team management for meddling in the team selection, was brought under scrutiny for his comments in the media. According to the PCB, the all-rounder violated the code of conduct of the board which clearly

in front of PCB’s disciplinary committee which slapped a fine of 4.5 million Rupees on the player and then later he was given the NOC.
