Shahid Afridi willing to lead Pakistan in West Indies Tour from 16th April
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755’s limited-over Skipper, Shahid Afridi, after his return from losing the semi-final of ICC World Cup 2011 against India, hinted at taking a break from the West Indies tour of Pakistan, which is scheduled to commence on the 16th of April,
2011. He was quoted as saying, "I am yet to decide on the West Indies tour.”
However, the skipper has changed his mind and is willing to lead the team in the One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 matches for the upcoming Pakistan’s tour to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760.
The skipper cited his friends and family as the reason for the change in his decision. Afridi added that his family insisted that he plays in the upcoming tour in order to maintain continuity in the Pakistan side.
Shahid Afridi emphasized that the forthcoming series provided the opportunity to play and groom the young players, but left the decision in the hands of the Pakistan team selectors.
Pakistan will play 5 One Day Internationals, 2 Tests and a Twenty20 match in the course of the tour.
