player, the statement claimed.
"The BCB Cricket Operations Department decided to withdraw Shakib from the tour squad following a request from the player," the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) revealed in a press release yesterday. "The break was approved considering
the continuous cricket Shakib has played over the last two years," the statement read further.

and 8 Twenty20 internationals) for the Bengali Tigers.

Shakib, who is currently ranked as the No. 1 all-rounder in Tests and ODIs, said that he needed the break and was looking forward to enjoying the time off.
"It feels really good. I want to enjoy the break. I don't want to talk or think about cricket during this break," said the Jessore born all-rounder.
