English County cricket has matured several players, who then went ahead to serve their national sides.
Shakib Al http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hasan-c61990 is the only player from Bangladesh who is benefitting from County cricket, playing for Worcestershire. He has been urging other players back home to make efforts for joining different counties.
Expressing how County cricked helped him shape up and improve his batting, especially due to different conditions, Shakib commented, "That helped me a lot, especially with batting because of the different conditions you face over here and have to combat."
The Bengali skipper was born on http://www.senore.com/Cricket/March-c74391 24, 1987 at Magura, Jessore. He is a left-arm leg Spin bowler and a left-handed batsman.
In his career, Shakib has played for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Worcestershire-c866. He is a competent all rounder and has been a consistent performer for his national side.
The 24-year-old has played 21 Test matches and has scored 1179 runs at an average of 31.02. He has grabbed 75 wickets at an average of 32.13, with best figures of 7 for 36 runs in an innings and 9 for 115 in a match.
In 111 One Day International matches he has scored 3045 runs at an average of 33.83. In the bowling department he has taken 138 wickets at an average of 29.39 runs.
In the recently concluded Indian Premier League’s fourth season, Shakib was part of the Kolkata http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Knight-c71599 Riders and was able to get 11 wickets at an average of 15.90, with the best of 3 for 28.

Shakib is confident that once the Bengali cricketers join English counties, they will find themselves more accustomed with the game and will learn a lot by playing in the company of International players.
"They would learn so many things, not only discipline and all professionalism, everything that has been lacking in our culture.If they get a chance to play, they will only reap the benefits,” he said.
