My husband and I are debating the following fact: Does shaking the gallon of milk make it go bad faster, due to airating? I say no and he says yes. Please help us decide!

  1. Excellent question. While I've never heard of that question, I also never knew that freezing milk would degrade the taste...but I found that out just the other day at the Food Bank where I volunteer.  I'm wondering though, just WHY do you shake the milk? Is it because you have non-homogenized milk and the cream rises to the top?

I understand the question all right, but why is this answer important to you two?

  2. I don't see any problem in shaking milk.

  3. Yes, it doesn't make it go bad faster sometimes, but it's much easier than shaking a cow!
