Question:

Shaking spoon at dinner table - poor form?

I am in the habit of shaking my spoon slightly after I have used it to pick up food. I do it to avoid anything falling off the loaded spoon when I move it from the bowl to my mouth. The shaking drives my wife nuts, and I wonder if it's considered bad manners.

  1. I don't think so.  It's showing that you're taking measures not to make a mess on yourself.

  2. Yes poor ettiquette!

but your wife could also be a poor lover and a help-meet good enough for being called a wife.
