Shall I dye my light orange hair brown?

Question

I don't want to risk lightening it to make it my natural blond, because it may go a funny colour. And at the moment it looks horrible. Shall I dye it a brown colour, then after a month or so lighten it to blond?

I agree with belleza... if you're trying to neutralize the orange, go for an ash brown. A light ash brown would be nice.

I recently went from strawberry blonde to natural blonde with a product called "Born Blonde Maxi" and then I used a toner.

If you dyed your hair light orange, you could also try a product called "Color Oops." One time, I went from blonde to red... HORRIBLE RED. I used Color Oops and I was back to blonde in 10 minutes. It was pretty cool.

I would be really careful when you choose your color. it could come out all wrong.  i would suggest ash brown. that way it will balance out the orange and your hair won't become purple.   then i would dye it lighter and then blonde.
