Question:

Shall I have hair extensions for my wedding?

I am getting married in 18 months and a year ago I had my long hair cut for the first time into a short bob. I have loved the bob for the time I have had it but feel I will need some length for my wedding hair style as the bob can only provide one style. Also I know my fiance loved my long hair (loves the bob also) but as he met me with long hair I know he secretly likes it long!

Sooooo. although I have 18 months I think I am only going to get it shoulder length in that time (as to keep it healthy Ill have to keep trimming it in the interim) and I dont think that shoulder length is going to do me much justice so i was thinking of getting extensions for the day (and the honeymoon) i have never had them and dont know anyone that has had them so have no idea whether this is a good idea or not. So any advice from ppl/brides that have had them and what you think would be great!!

Many thanks

  1. go for it have them professionally done!

i cut my hair short aswel and its still growing out and like your boyfriend my boyfriend prefers my hair long. so i wear clip in ones but if i had the money i could spend hundreds on hair extensions

  2. they useually look tacky :S

    well my opinion

  3. go 4 it!!!!

  4. your hair grows about 1/2 an inch per month so by then it could have grown like nine inches, instead of getting it cut so much you could use a good shampoo and conditioner which is specifically to help repair hair, thats what i do now and i havent cut my hair in 2 years and its perfectly fine, and then also if you wanted by not cutting it so much you could still get it cut just before your wedding so it looks nicer AND wear extensions then it would look more natural since you hair would be quite long anyways

  5. If you plan on getting extensions, I say experiment with them now and see a professional.  A professional will be able to help you out and get extensions that look natural and perfect.  Extensions aren't for everyone though, which is why I suggest experimenting with them.

Also keep in mind that you have 18 months to go.  Your hair can definitely grow long enough in that time.  Get it trimmed regularly to keep it neat and take biotin (vitamin you can buy at the drugstore or vitamin stores/gnc), which helps with your hair and nails and helps promote growth and shine.

  6. My advice is experiment with extensions right now and see if you like the look and feel.

My friend had extensions for her wedding and it was gorgeous, but everyone is different.

  7. jessica simpson has a clip on range..its really good.

  8. Me personally, I would NEVER get extension and the reason is b/c 1. my hair is extremely thick and long and healthy already and grows super fast and 2. because since my hair is so thick, it was cost over $2000 just to get them done. I've checked around at many places.

I would think that your hair would be a lot longer than shoulder length in 18 months, but then again my hair grows exceptionally fast, so that's another story. Call around to some places and have them estimate for you. I wouldn't' suggest clip on ones...even with the real human hair, they look pretty fake. I have some that are fun to wear, but definitely NOT for a wedding.

  9. I would say go for it but make sure you get them in advance just in cases they dont turn out good and get them professionally done cuz the last thing anyone wants is to look trashy on their wedding day.  As far as the honeymoon...keep in mind that you are taking a huge risk if you get them wet and your hubby wont be able to run his hands through your hair...the clip on ones are good cuz they come right out so and you can play with them alot but i think they are more for adding a little length and volume (it would look a little wierd if u clip on long hair to a bob).  they best thing to do is start trying extentions now since there are so many different kinds and you have the time.  extenions are fun fun fun and the boys love em too from my experience !!

  10. extensions are last years news/have your hair its natural length

  11. Get Great Lengths...they are amazing!!
