Shami Ahmed praised by Lalchand Rajput and WV Raman – Cricket News Update

The 22-year-old emerged on the scene of domestic cricket in India in 2010 and since then he has made a massive impression in first-class cricket as well as in the limited-overs version of the sport.
The fast bowler, who clocks regularly at 140 km/hr, has so far grabbed 34 scalps in his nine first-class matches. He has been a part of Kolkata Knight Riders (IPL) since the last couple of seasons of the Indian Premier League (IPL) but has so far failed
to break into the playing-XI.
Shami’s impressive showings in the previous domestic season earned him a place in the India ‘A’ squad for the tour of the Caribbean. The Men in Blue struggled to deliver the goods in the islands as they lost the unofficial Test series by a margin of 1-2.
However, the Bengal fast bowler has been one of the very few positives for India ‘A’ as he picked up 13 wickets in the series and impressed one and all with his ability to surprise batsmen with his pace and bounce.
Lalchand, the coach of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 ‘A’, expressed that the budding cricketer bowled his heart out in the series and the encouraging thing was his pace because India is not known for producing bowlers who can maintain speed over time.
“He is strong, bowls at a sharp pace, and throughout the day. Even in the third spell of the day, he bowls around 140 kmph. Even when batting he doesn't give up; you have to get him out. He is one bowler to watch out for," he said.
