I go to the gym five days a week and I'm trying to figure out whether it is more beneficial to shampoo when I first wake up in the morning, and allow the sweat oils to remain on my hair after working out, however increased, or if it is better to remove the amount of oils from my scalp post-workout. (I always shower after going to the gym, but I don't always shampoo) My hair is fairly normal and I notice no real difference whether I shampoo in the morning or after a workout, but I'm wondering about the effects the increase in oils from sweating has on the scalp, and whether it is beneficial or not to leave it.
