Question:

Shampoos: My hair got gross randomly?

I used to use Pantene Pro-V and then switched to Loreal Vita Vive because it worked so well. It was probably one of the best shampoo's I've used yet. Then I ran out so kept using Pantene Pro-V for quite a while. When I finally used Loreal again, my hair turned out gross! It wasn't smooth, and it was tangly, and it felt dry (I have asian hair so this almost never happens!). Needless to say, I was very dissapointed...has this ever happened to anyone? Does my hair need a getting-used-to period so I should stick with Loreal for a few more days? Has the Loreal Vita Vive formula changed? Suggestions for future shampoos?

And for asians, how do you make the scent stay in your hair? We all have smooth hair so it never holds onto anything.

  1. did you use enough conditioner? if not that could be your problem orr loreal could changed their ingriedents a little

  2. It was probably the Pantene that did it? Pantene is really bad for your hair. Your hair might have become dependent on it. That happens sometimes when you use the same shampoo for a loooong time. But anyway, get a clarifying shampoo (Suave is fine) and use it to shampoo your hair once. Then start using the Loreal again. And clarify once a month or so just to get all the extra c**p out of your hair :D Honestly, Loreal Vive is a pretty good shampoo but you might want to try switching up shampoos every once in a while: Dove, Loreal, Aussie, etc (:

And for scent, well I'm Asian too but I have curly hair, not smooth hair. But just get a really good smelling hairspray or mousse. Paul Mitchell has a coconut smelling mousse, and the scent lasts all day (:
