Shane Lowry, Oliver Wilson tied at the 7th place
Three days of the Lyoness Open 2012 are over. The best in the world are fighting for the trophy at this auspicious event. This event has brought many big names at one stage and has made them compete for the title.
The venue for this spectacular event is the Diamond Country Club in Atzenbrugg, Austria. The event started from the 25th of July and is supposed to end on the 28th of July.
After three rounds of golf, many players have successfully impressed the spectators while others have failed. Two players who have given an outstanding performance in the tournament are Shane Lowry and Oliver Wilson.
Oliver Wilson had a slow start to his first day. He had nine consecutive pars on the front nine. His back nine was much better as he carded four birdies, on the tenth, thirteenth, fifteenth and sixteenth hole.
There were no eagles, bogeys or double bogeys on the first day. These made his score four-under par. Wilson’s second day was not as good. Nonetheless, it was still pretty decent.
He carded two birdies on the first and ninth hole and two bogeys on the third and eighth hole. On the back nine, he had three birdies on the tenth, thirteenth and fourteenth hole. He ended his second round with a bogey. These made his score two-under par
for the day.
He again had a good third day, with five birdies and just a single bogey, which came on the first hole. These made his score four-under par and his total score became ten-under par.
Shane Lowry had somewhat the same figures. On the first day, he carded five birdies and three bogeys. His second day was even better, in which he again had five birdies but only one bogey. The first two days made his score six-under par.
He managed magnificent seven birdies on the third day. Unfortunately for him, he also scored three bogeys. These again made his score four-under par for the day and his total score became ten-under par.
Both the players with equal scores are tied at the seventh spot. They are just six strokes away from the top of the table.
