Shane Mosley believes Manny Pacquiao will knockout Juan Manuel Marquez – Boxing news
Former three-division world champion and World Boxing Association Welterweight Super Champion, Shane Mosley, believes this time the Mexican Dinamita, Juan Manuel Marquez, will be knocked out by Manny Pacquiao, who is an eight-division world champion and
the current World Boxing Organisation Welterweight World Champion (Super Champion).
The 40-year-old American pugilist, Mosley, who holds a record of winning 46 of his 55 professional fights (1 Draw, 1 no contest), with 39 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout , stated Pacquiao is a full-fledged welterweight thus Marquez will have
problems fighting him this time.
“He's full-fledged, his legs are big, he's built up, so Marquez is going to have problems,” Mosley said in an interview with Fighthype.com.
Mosley fought Pacquiao back in May 2007 at the same MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas for the WBO Welterweight title and the Filipino star secured a unanimous decision over him. Therefore Mosley, who is more commonly known as Sugar, knows the power of Pac-Man.
Mosley said Marquez is planning to fight Pacquiao toe-to-toe which means he is asking for a knockout, as Mosley reckons if Marquez will go down if he is caught by Pacquiao, who is currently rated as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, at any stage
during their fight.
“Marquez said he's not going to run like Shane did, and he's going to fight and all that other bull sh*t,” he said. “So he's asking for it. He's gonna get his a** knocked out.”
“He might be able to catch Pacquiao with some stuff, but when Pacquiao catches him, if Pacquiao had the same stuff that he had with me, if he catches him with a touch, then Marquez is going down,” he said. “When Pacquiao hits him, he's going to hurt Marquez.”
Marquez, who currently holds the World Boxing Association Super, World Boxing Organisation and The Ring Lightweight World Championship belts, will face Pacquiao on November 12, 2011 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada in one of the most eagerly anticipated
fights of the year because this fight will decide who is the real winner among them is.
