Australia’s former legendary spinner, Shane Warne, has advised the young Kangaroo opener, Phillip Hughes, to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adrian-Roger-Kirshaw-Pierson-c42135 to his natural game and play offensive cricket with a clear mindset, claiming that the batsman possesses immense talent but he needs to tune
up.
Warne is of the view that every cricketer has some faults and shortcomings but keen attention and hard work help fixing them out. The spin king wants the New South Wales-born batter to become an aggressive player so that he gets a chance to make ODI and
T20I debuts as well.
Talking to the media today, Warney, who represented the Aussies in 145 Test and 194 ODI games, said, “Phil Hughes would be disappointed with himself at not grabbing his opportunities. It's a tricky one. He has been inconsistent. He's a good young player.
For him, it's all about getting his mindset right. Go out with an attacking attitude rather than a defensive attitude of survival."
Since getting the baggy green in 2009, Hughes has played 16 Tests so far, scoring 1048 runs with the help of 3 centuries and fifties each. He is currently playing a 2-Test home series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754. Some analysts predict that the young batsman may
miss the upcoming http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 series for his recent lean patch.
Apart from Hughes, Warne has also heaped praise on another young Oz batter, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DA-Warner-c1301, who played his maiden Test match last week. The former great believes that Warner will rapidly evolve into a dashing and successful batsman.
He told, “I'm a big fan of David Warner. It's great that he's playing Test cricket. I've got absolutely no doubt he can be successful at Test level too. He has got a good technique. Warner could be that person. He's only going to get better and better with
experience.”
Warner is one of the three players who got green caps on December 1. The other two include http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mitchell-Aaron-Starc-c76392.
In the absence of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SR-Watson-c2558, Hughes and Warner open the innings. But unfortunately, the duo did not do well in the first Test at Brisbane. However, they are expected to shine in the 2nd and final game, starting from December 9 at Hobart.
