Shane Warne appreciates Shaun Tait’s bowling against Delhi Daredevils
Legendary Australian leg-spinner, Shane Warne, hailed Shaun Tait after the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rajasthan-c837 Royals overpowered the Delhi Daredevils in their Indian Premier League match in Jaipur.
The Aussie fast bowler, Tait, included into the playing eleven in place of injured http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Aaron-Finch-c881, dismissed early,
to raise serious concerns about http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Delhi-c780’s decision to bat first.
Shaun Tait’s couple of wickets in his opening over, coupled with Warne’s couple of wickets in his first over, constrained the opponents to 151 for the loss of four wickets, which the ex-champions were able to hunt down successfully with nine balls to spare.
Warne said that when Tait gets it right, he is exceptional, and, he bowled magnificently. The Aussie’s pacer spoiled his statistics toward the tail of the Delhi innings, when http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Irfan-c64444 Pathan’s cameo fetched 12 runs in one Tait over on the back of a weary line
and length.
Warne added that there are still a few areas they can develop. They could have enhanced their bowling in the end.
Previously in the day, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Venugopal-Rao-c2752, with David Warner in tow, heaved the Daredevils endeavour with the bat from the melancholy athwart and 83-run stand for the fifth wicket at a rate of 8.16 an over.
Delhi appeared dead and obscured at 36 for four within eight overs in the wake of Tait’s fabulous opening magic charm, but Rao and fellow half-centurion, Warner built a solid partnership of 108 runs in the second half of the innings.
Despite their efforts, Rao was left to mourn Delhi’s second trouncing of the tournament.
"I don't know what to say. We need one good win. We didn't bat well in the first half and we didn't bowl well in the second half. I was just telling Warner that if we can bat together for a while we can do it", said the talented right-hander.
Conquered captain, Sehwag praised Warner and Rao’s fortitude and grit after botched batting in two consecutive matches.
"Venu and Warner batted really well. They hit some awesome shots. I have to score runs in the coming games. We need to concentrate on our batting", concluded Sehwag.
