Throughout his colourful career Warny never violated the spirit of cricket. He might have controveries off the field, but in the field he is honest 100%. So the advice thrown to him not to teach about spirit of the game of cricket is not fair.

  1. no

  2. no ,all aus players have violated in some form or the other

  3. Look it was the umpires fault. If he was given out he should walk. If he was waiting for the decision to be made and showed that he though it was bump ball, the umpire made the decision to refer to the third umpire. If the third umpire could not give it out then there is no fault with Sourav Ganguly.

If Ganguly made the team wait he was tardy and possibly breaching the spirit of the game.I did not watch the match.

Shane Warne defending his teammates was really nice. Warney is an awesome cricketer and  a better captain.Australia could have been much better with him leading and more respected than under Ponting.

Ponting is an awesome bat but he is deluded about the spirit of the game. I think warney plays to the spirit of the game.

The doping and match fixing incidents were minor. And yes, don't you wish you got laid like warney too.

  4. Warnie is a God but remember the whole John The Bookie contoversy?

  5. I guess not. Warnie is not really an angel of Cricket. He was previously linked to a betting controversy and I don't think that he has the right to speak that way even if he was not. It is good to defend his players, but it is not right to comment on the Umpires' decision. That is against propriety and uncalled for. Ganguly is a bit aggressive, but I don't think that he was mistaken to ask for the Third Umpire. The Third Umpire's decision upheld whatever Ganguly did. Now brother, I know whatever I have answered is not going to go well with you and I know well that a "Yes you are Correct!" is what you are waiting for, but truth can't change and I won't change my view. Sorry for the little irritation reading this answer might have caused you.

    ||Good Luck||

  6. I don't know whether Shane violated the spirit of cricket or not but i know that Dada was not wrong in telling the umpire to go for the 3rd umpire! After all, he was given "not out" by 3rd umpire! I agree with EagerBeaver!

  7. I think Sourav Ganguly is being totally unfair and maybe he lacks the sprit of the game. Shane Warne is a highly respected cricketing legend and i think it was ganguly's fault for keeping the Rajasthan Royals waiting. Sourav should show some amount of sportsmanship

  8. You're absolutely right mate.

  9. yes ia gre that shane warne never violeted the spirit of cricket

  10. If giving information and betting to a bookie for money is right then Warney is right.

If taking drugs to enhance performance is right then Warney is right.

I dont understand whats the all fuss. Saurav showed doubt over the catch and the decision to refer for 3rd Umpire came from onfield Umpire.

3rd umpire gave him not out.

That means Rajasthan Royals were claimimg a dropped catch. Is it spirit of the game.

May be OZs have a different definition.

  11. no its not shane warne its ganguly who violated the spirit of the game...check out more about this at the below link

  12. You are dead right.

The fact that indians are very emotional means that they look at every aussie with suspicion.

Indians should learn to give respect to other country players as well. Just because Ganguly has icon status in the country does not mean that he can bully around.

And the umpire, wat a stupid guy he is!!!! Does he even realise that he is in a cric match..

So in all the matches to follow every player shd stand there if given out and then ask for the 3rd umpire.

Again BCCI has not given proper punishment to sarav here,, this only encourages the indian players to cross the line again and again.

dont forget that indians have been booked more times for offence than any team in cricket history.

  13. Shane was aggressive but also Honest and never violated the spirit of the game. Ganguly is wrong

  14. Yes I agree. But I disagree that saurav violated the spirit of the game.

You must remember what happened in Sydney.

Saurav was sure and sorry everybody was sure that the catch taken by clarke was not at all a catch.

But Ganguly waited for the umpire's decision and that idiot umpire gave out just because that Ponting said that it was out.

Aussies are famous for their sledging and playing mind games.

Shane violated the spirit at one point. He said that Saurav asked the umpire the "INDIAN UMPIRE!!"to refer to the third umpire. What kind of sentence is this????How ll this be the spirit of the game.I dont understand!.

And moreover if u are not aggressive how ll u be able to tackle those who are trying to cheat you and try to sit on your shoulders and control you!

  15. You are right, whatever he does off the field has nothing to do with anyone. He has been a great sportsman & will be remembered long after Ganguly is forgotten

  16. There is a difference of chalk and cheese between Shane Warne and Sourav Ganguly. Whereas Shane Warne has always been a true proffesional Ganguly has always been a bad looser and one who likes to pull his weight around as was evident before with his relationship with Greg Chappel. As for the people of bengal are concerned they are the biggest ignorant fools who have always been supporting Ganguly  blindly.

  17. agree

  18. very true he is great professional from were ever he played he played with right spirit

  19. not sure if he always played the cricket in spirit of the game. But i feel everyone should play it with right spirit.

  20. agreed.  saurav ganguly was at fault y'day at jaipur.whenhe is not in time for the toss
