Shane Warne rates http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 as the favorites in the ICC World Cup final 2011
Legendary Australian leg spinner Shane Warne has rated India as favorites to win the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758. Both Asian giants are up against each today other in the all-important fixture of the mega event.
The Aussie great posted this on his Twitter account that the home team has a great opportunity to lift the most prestigious trophy of world cricket.
This is a historical final as it is the first time in the World Cup history that two Asian teams are facing each other in the final. Asia has become a huge force in international cricket as there has not been a single final of the World Cup since the last
six tournaments in which an Asian team has not appeared.
Warne also wished luck to Sachin Tendulkar who is at the brink of completing his century of hundreds in international cricket. Legendary bowler feels it is a great chance for Tendulkar to achieve the feet on a big stage.
He posted that, "also good luck to my friend Sachin in his quest to make a 100-100's in international cricket. The script is written. Hope it's a great game."
Being a neutral observer, Warne also wished luck to the Sri Lankan team and said that the best two teams have qualified for the final of the mega event. Former leg spinner also expressed his tribute for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Muttiah-Muralitharan-c78157 who is playing his last international
match in shape of a World Cup final.
"Good luck to both teams in the world cup final - best 2 teams of the tournament! Good luck to Murali in his last international game," Warne added.
This is a great gesture by the Aussie great as he and Murali have been strong competitors all through their careers. Warne and Murali battled each other for the highest wicket-taker’s slot in Test match cricket, which Murali won eventually.
Warne’s last prediction turned out to be spot on when he posted on his Twitter account that the encounter between India and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 will end in a tie. Let’s see that how correct this prediction turns out to be.
