Shane Warne rates Sachin Tendulkar as consistently awkward opponent
Australia’s legendary spinner, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shane-Keith-Warne-c89672, has rated India’s, Sachin Tendulkar, as one of the most “awkward” players in cricket because of his consistency and minimum number of errors.
The 41-year old announced his retirement from the Indian Premier League (IPL), but ended his career on a high, winning his last game as skipper of the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 Indians (MI).
According to Warne, “http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sachin-Ramesh-Tendulkar-c87800 was consistently the most awkward opponent because he made so few mistakes and always had a clear game plan against me. He never puts a toe out of line off the field, and never queries an umpire’s decision on it”.
The spin wizard further added that he has been very good friends with the Master http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Richard-Terry-Bates-c85335. Both players were fierce competitors on the field, but had developed a very good relationship otherwise. Warne was pleased to be a part of the (IPL), which helped him
develop some good friendships with Indian cricketers.
Warne also praised a couple of other cricketers whom he played against, saying, “When http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Navjot-Singh-Sidhu-c78928 was unpredictable, a player with
a fantastic eye, who could just dance down the pitch and put you into Row Z”.
The legendary spinner was also impressed by his former team-mate and captain, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Allan-Robert-Border-c43726, who supported the leg-spinner at the start of his career. Warne praised the mental toughness of Border, saying he was an ideal captain.
Warne described the victories in Ashes 1993 and the series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 in 1992-93, as the finest moments of his career. He claimed that the Caribbean Kings were the best in the business back then and winning against them was something special.

The legendary spinner was also expecting knighthood, as all the other four players chosen in the Wisden Cricketers of the Century were honoured with it except Warne.
