The Australian legendary player said that it was a great experience to play in the IPL after his retirement from International cricket in 2007.
"When I retired in January 2007, I thought that's it, I''ll sit back and watch the game, but I have had four great years in the IPL."
He explained that it would be an honour for him to remain involved with the IPL somehow, as the platform has brought him much respect.

Warne in his IPL career has played a total of 55 matches and with 57 dismissals, he set his average at 25.38 with best bowling figures of 4 for 21.
In the IPL’s 2008 edition, Warne was the second highest wicket taker with 19 wickets in 15 matches, setting his average at 21.26.
In 2009, he was the thirteenth, with 14 wickets in 13 matches while in the 2010 season he took 11 wickets in 14 matches with best bowling figures of 4 for 21 runs.
