The ace Australian all-rounder, Shane Watson, has revealed he prefers staying in action rather than taking breaks, citing this as the reason behind his success, and rubishing speculations that overdose of cricket has rendered him unfit.
The International Cricket Council’s top T20I all-rounder is of the view that his participation in all formats helps him show consistency, both in terms of fitness and performance. He also believes that keeping the body hot hampers health problems and gives
a player more on-field time in his career.
Talking to the media, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Watson-c96326 said, “Playing a lot isn't something that over the last couple of years I ever thought I was going to be able to do. So in the end it's just continual management to be able to try and stay on top of things. When I'm playing so
much it means I am pushing my body all the time, so there's a chance little things can http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Graeme-Welch-c60527 up and unfortunately it's been two things together over the last week or so.”
The veteran cricketer is desperate to rejoin his team ahead of their high-profile series decider, the 3rd ODI against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757. As the series is levelled 1-1, the final match on Friday, October 28, is going to be a make-or-break clash for
the Aussies. Watson is h**l-bent to participate in the game and help his side win the series.
The all-rounder’s availability for the remaining matches of the ongoing tour became uncertain when he suffered from back spasms during the 2nd One Dayer, which his team lost. Some doctors termed this abrupt problem as a follow-up of his hip injury,
which he picked up some months back.
Despite all speculations and odds, Watson is hopeful of playing Friday’s thriller. He told, “Definitely, it's a huge match in the scheme of things, so no doubt I'm desperate to get back to be able to play.”
Watto is currently working hard on his fitness under the supervision of the team physio, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Alex-Kountouris-c43123. The 30-year-old has represented his national team in 30 Test, 139 ODI and 25 T20I matches so far, since his International debut in 2002.
