Shane Watson interested in leading http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rajasthan-c837 Royals next year

With Shane Warne all set to say good bye to the Indian Premier League at the end of the fourth season, the Australian all-rounder, Shane http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Watson-c96326, has shown interest in leading the Rajasthan Royals from the 2012 edition onwards.
Although, Watson did not take any names, he made it clear that there are some other strong contenders for the job.
"Yes I would love to lead the side in Shane Warne`s absence but there are few others in contention," Watson said after his team was thrashed by Royal Challengers Bangalore last night.
The Challengers outclassed the Royals, defeating them comprehensively by nine wickets in the 55th IPL game on Wednesday, May 11, 2011.
Put into bat, the Rajasthan side piled up a total of 146 in the given 20 overs.
Although, Watson and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rahul-c83321 Dravid provided a fantastic start by putting together a thrilling 73 runs partnership for the first wicket, the rest of the batsmen were not able to carry the momentum forward.
In response, the Challengers, with help from Chris Gayle’s aggressive, unbeaten 70, overcame the target convincingly with 18 balls to spare.
Rajasthan Royals are almost out of the tournament and their hopes of making into the play-offs are very little.
However, Watson stated that the players would put in their one hundred percent to win the remaining two matches and make it a memorable ending for his compatriot, the legendary Shane Warne.
"We are out. We will play the remaining matches for pride and will try to give good performance to give a perfect send off to Warne," the blistering Aussie all-rounder added.
Watson, who did a fantastic job in the inaugural edition and won the ‘Player of the Tournament’ award, has not been able to make a mark in the ongoing competition.
In nine games so far in the league, the flamboyant all-rounder has scored just 221 runs. When asked about his not-so-impressive form in the 2011 edition, Watson said, "I can`t say. Twenty20 can be a fickle game. I had prepared in same manner and was excited
for IPL but things did not come off."
Meanwhile, Watson discarded the chance of any major changes in the team ahead of next match, claiming the side has been playing as a unit.
