Shane battier to the bench?

with artest going to the rockets, will he be a pf or a starting sf and shane battier would have to sit on the bench?

I have a feeling battier wont be in houston for long. They can get someone they need for a player with his calibur of skill

artest will definitely start either at the 2 or 3 depending on whether or not tmac wants to play out of his natural position. battier will still get a lot of minutes though. think about all the pressure that artest will take off the offense which allows tmac to go to the bench more often and rest more. this could be the thing that tmac needs to stay healthy. i think battier will still log in near 25 mpg. either way, the offense gets better, and the defense definitely gets better.

Well Shane would maybe start for the beginning of the year. And when Artest has the offense down then he would be a starter.

Adelman is a qualified coach to make the adjustments..

You can always put Artest as PF(He can GUARD a PF), Battier as SF, T-Mac out of SF to SG, and make Scola a force off the bench..

It looks good on paper, but if Yao has another season ending injury, kiss the shot good-bye.

Artest can easily play PF, it's up to Adelman if he wants to keep battier as a reserve or start with his best 5.

I think Battier will be the backup SF to Ron Artest. I think Shane Battier would be a great 6th man for the Rockets, that would put some strength on the Rockets bench.

No way, with both of them on the court you have the battier running the defense as a whole and artest playing hard one on one containment defense on the opponents' star player. Assuming Artest stays out of trouble and is as good as he has been the last few years, this is he biggest pick up for the Rockets in a whie.
