Shao Yiwen clinches Women’s 200m freestyle title - 2011Chinese Long Course Nationals
Shao Yiwen impressed the arena on day four of the 2011Chinese Long Course Nationals in Rizhao, China, on Sunday, September 25. The session of the meet conducted several events, in which Shao Yiwen secured gold medal in Women’s 200m freestyle, while Sun Yang
took home the Men’s 1500m freestyle title.
Chengfei Yi earned gold medal in Men’s 200m back-stroke, whereas, Lin Jingshi secured the golden crown in Women’s 200m breast-stroke. Moreover, Chen Yin grabbed the Men’s 200m butterfly title. Last, but not the least, Guangdong secured gold medal on the
podium in the Men’s 400m medley relay.
Initially, Shao Yiwen hit the wall in 1 minute and 58.29 seconds to win the Women’s 200m freestyle title. In the corresponding race, Pang Jiaying finished second with a mark of 1 minute and 58.92 seconds, while Guo Junjun settled in third in a time of 1
minute and 59.41 seconds.
In the Men’s 1500m freestyle event, Sun Yang secured gold medal on the podium by submitting an impressive time of 14 minutes and 45.78 seconds. After the race, Sun stated, “I have much room for growth next year, and my coach has given me a goal of Olympic
success.” Li Yunqi secured the silver medal by posting a matchless time of 15 minutes and 09.40 seconds, while Wang Kecheng earned bronze in a time of 15 minutes and 21.06 seconds.
In the Men’s 200m back-stroke, Chengfei Yi won gold medal by submitting a winning time of 1 minute and 58.63 seconds. Diao Jigong earned silver in a time of 1 minute and 58.86 seconds, whereas, Wang Chengxiang settled for bronze in a time of 2 minutes and
01.84 seconds.
Lin Jingshi topped the Women’s 200m breast-stroke race with a triumphant mark of 2 minutes and 26.62 seconds, while Li Qing finished second with a time of 2:27.07 minutes. Li Xiang settled in 2:27.45 minutes.
Chen Yin won the Men’s 200m butterfly title with a winning mark of 1 minute and 56.84 seconds, while Chen Weiwu finished second in a time of 1 minute and 57.38 seconds. s**+ Feng earned third with a mark of 1 minute and 57.48 seconds.
In addition, Guangdong took home the Men's 400m medley relay title with a victorious mark of 3 minutes and 38.57 seconds. In the corresponding race, Shanghai wound up second with an impressive mark of 3 minutes and 38.63 seconds. Finally, Beijing earned
bronze title on the podium by posting a matchless time of 3 minutes and 42.96 seconds.
